I have Multiple Sclerosis and previously moved from one agency to another without finding the right support. After being admitted to hospital with a grade 4 pressure sore, I began receiving care from Astar Care Services. Since then, my sore has completely healed, and I have now been with them for four and a half years.
Their support has made a huge difference to my life. I am able to go out regularly, do my shopping with my regular carer using either their vehicle or my own, and attend my day centre for physiotherapy, where they drop me off and collect me afterwards. They also take me to places such as Costa whenever I request this in advance, which has really helped me maintain my independence and social life.
The team is kind, reliable, and professional, and my family feels reassured knowing I have such a supportive company behind me. They also manage my medication reorders, contact nurses on my behalf, and liaise with my GP if they notice any concerns about my health.
Overall, Astar Care Services has had a truly positive impact on my wellbeing and quality of life, and I am extremely grateful for the care and support they provide.
