Our Recruitment Process

Exceptional care starts with exceptional people. Every carer we bring on board goes through a rigorous recruitment process designed to protect our clients and uphold our standards.

Reference Checks

We request and carefully review two references from previous employers before any carer joins our team, ensuring a proven track record of reliability and professionalism.

Enhanced DBS Checks

Every carer undergoes a full Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. This comprehensive background screening ensures your loved one is always in safe, trustworthy hands.

Shadowing Programme

New carers shadow experienced members of the team before working independently. This hands-on induction helps them understand client routines and allows us to identify where further support may be needed.

Ongoing Training & Development

Caregiving is a constantly evolving field. We invest in the ongoing development of every member of our team so that the care we deliver remains consistently high.

Care Certificate & NVQ

All carers complete the Care Certificate as a minimum. We actively encourage progression to NVQ Levels 2 and 3 to deepen expertise in person-centred care.

Regular Supervisions

We hold formal supervision sessions with every carer every three months to review their performance, wellbeing, and any areas where additional support may help.

Open Communication

We foster a culture where carers feel confident raising concerns or ideas. A supported team delivers better care, and we take staff feedback seriously at every level.

Healthcare Collaboration

Our office team works closely with District Nurse Teams, GPs, and local authorities to ensure every client receives joined-up, comprehensive support.

Thorough Support Behind the Scenes

Our office team plays an active role in making sure every client receives the full support they are entitled to.

 Healthcare coordination — we liaise with District Nurse Teams to ensure medical needs are met alongside day-to-day care.

 GP liaison — where clients live alone and need medical attention, our team proactively contacts GPs to ensure nothing is missed.

 Funding support — if we believe you are entitled to local authority or NHS funding, we will help you access it.

Reviews & Ongoing Adaptation

Care needs change. We make it our business to stay ahead of those changes, not just react to them.

 Regular reviews — we formally assess the effectiveness of your care plan on an ongoing basis to ensure it continues to meet your needs.

 Early check-ins — we contact you after your first week of care to make sure everything is running smoothly and address anything promptly.

 Care plan amendments — if changes are needed, our Registered Manager Vicky will visit in person to update your plan and ensure it reflects your current needs.
